Email Chat ("we", "us") provides a team email collaboration product at emailchat.online. This policy explains what data we process and why.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, profile picture, and OAuth identifiers from Google or Microsoft.
- Email content: messages, threads, attachments, and metadata your team chooses to mirror into Email Chat.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, and product interaction logs needed to keep the service safe.
2. How we use it
- To operate the chat-style email workspace you signed up for.
- To authenticate you, secure your session, and prevent abuse.
- To respond to support requests and notify you of service changes.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with sub-processors strictly required to run the service (Supabase for storage and authentication, Resend for transactional email, our hosting provider for compute).
4. Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your workspace is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@emailchat.online.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact privacy@emailchat.online to exercise these rights.
6. Security
Authentication uses OAuth and HttpOnly session cookies. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We never receive or store your email account password.
